Review Trusted Devices
Apple Account Access & Authentication
Essential
Review every device signed in to your Apple Account and remove any device you do not recognize, no longer use, or no longer control.
What this setting does
Devices signed in to your Apple Account can access Apple services and may have access to iCloud data. Trusted devices can also display verification codes for two-factor authentication. Reviewing the device list helps identify devices that should no longer have access to your account.
iOS 27 introduces iPhone Handoff, which can allow two iPhones signed in to the same Apple Account to share a phone number and synced iCloud data. If you use iPhone Handoff, make sure both iPhones are devices you recognize, control, and still intend to have associated with your account.
Important notes
Tap each device in your Apple Account device list and confirm that you recognize it and still control it. Remove devices you no longer use, no longer have access to, or do not recognize.
Removing a device from your Apple Account blocks its access to iCloud and other Apple services and prevents it from displaying two-factor authentication verification codes. It can regain access only by signing in again.
If a device you still own keeps reappearing after removal, it may still be signed in to Apple services on that device. Apple recommends signing out of the relevant services or erasing the device if it needs to be permanently removed from the account.
