Periodically review Safety Check to confirm that only trusted people, apps, and devices retain access to your information.
What this setting does
Safety Check provides one place to review and remove unwanted access to information associated with your iPhone and Apple Account. It can help you stop sharing with people and apps, review devices connected to your Apple Account, review trusted phone numbers, and change your Apple Account password or iPhone passcode.
Important notes
Safety Check offers two approaches: Manage Sharing & Access for reviewing access individually, and Emergency Reset for quickly stopping sharing and reviewing account security when immediate action is needed.
Removing an unknown device from your Apple Account prevents that device from receiving verification codes and blocks its access to iCloud and other Apple services until it signs in again with two-factor authentication.
Safety Check cannot review every possible source of access. For example, it does not manage non-Apple accounts, social-media sharing, or devices signed in to a different Apple Account.
